Civil Litigation

Any legal dispute where two or more parties are seeking monetary damages or a specific performance and does not include criminal accusations. Some cases go to trial in which a judge will determine the outcome, but not all will.

Refers to a trial in criminal court. Criminal litigation is distinct from civil litigation in most countries. Civil litigation is a private lawsuit between two parties, while criminal litigation is litigation brought by the state against an individual.

The process of explicitly writing down the terms and conditions of an agreement and the goal of contract drafting is to create a legally binding document in writing that is clear, concise, and as close to the parties' intentions as possible.

An eviction is the act of depriving a person of occupation of a building or structure or the land on which such a building or structure is erected, against their will.

In common-law jurisdictions, administration of an estate on death arises if the deceased is legally intestate, meaning they did not leave a will, or some assets are not disposed of by their will.
